In 1948 Topps introduced their first Sports Cards ever, the 1948 Topps Magic Photos Set. Each set contained 252 miniature cards featuring sport and non-sport subjects. These cards were issued in 19 lettered series, with the numbering of the cards within each series. The fronts of the cards were developed like a photograph from a blank appearance, so the clarity of the cards ranges greatly. These cards are extremely rare and their condition, of course, varies widely across the sports card market.
